Work Day Gym Session 16/11/2009

Work Day Gym Session 16/11/2009

I got into the gym around 6:00pm as I was able to get off during that time . I got off the gym around 7:30 pm, total time spent in the gym = 1 hour 30 mins.

My workout routine as follows:

50 mins on the treadmill @ speed = 8.0kmph and gradient = 0.2% to 1% on irregular intervals
15 mins on the treadmill @ speed = 6.0kmph and gradient = 0.2% to 1% on irregular intervals(Cool-down)
* Resulted in 8.1km jogged and around 735 calories burned.

Celebrity Fitness finally upgraded their treadmill. Now, you could plug your Ipod into the machine and control it from the touchscreen panel. I rather like the new treadmills and I am hopeful to do another run sometime this week before my Melbourne trip.

Weekend Non Gym Session 15/11/2009

I woke up really late today around 9 am. I was not looking forward to bring Little Foot for a walk. The weather was cooling around 9:30 am. As such, walking Little Foot was quite pleasant indeed.

Here are the stats of the walk:

Sunday, 15/11/2009, Light cardio session
15 mins walking Little Foot around the part for 2 times
* Resulted in 75 calories burned and about 1.2km walked(estimated)

I did not have the time to write a short review of a game this week but will be updating here a bit more often in accordance to my trip to Melbourne the coming Saturday dated 21/11/2009.

Work Day Gym Session 05/11/2009

Work Day Gym Session 05/11/2009

Although I got off work earlier than usual, I had to purchase two items for myself, ie. Windows 7 Home Premium Retail and Dragon Age: Origins, the normal version. As such, I got into the gym around 6:30pm and got off the gym around 8 pm, total time spent in the gym = 1 hour 30 mins.

My workout routine as follows:

55 mins on the treadmill @ speed = 8.0kmph and gradient = 0
10 mins on the treadmill @ speed = 6.0kmph and gradient = 0 (Cool-down)
* Resulted in 8.4km jogged and around 710 calories burned.

I was pre-occupied with the thoughts of my work and some other stuff. It's funny how I am able to actually forget that I was jogging on the treadmill. Fortunately, the treadmill exercise is pretty much idiot proof. I should have done the full 60 minutes jog instead.

Anyway, I am looking forward to this weekends because of the following reasons:

1. I finally be able to use my Samsung T240 , 24inch LCD monitor
2. The games I purchased today, Dragon Age: Origins
3. Windows 7 Home Premium which I may try to fix it up this weekend.

I was having quite a bad flu as I was sneezing and having runny nose all the way. Some of my joints felt a bit pain here and there. However, I managed to push myself into the gym and jogged about 8.4km. This was possible as I reduce my cool-down time on the treadmill.

Weekend Non Gym Session 01/11/2009

I woke up really late today around 10 am. I was looking forward to bring Little Foot for a walk. The weather was quite hot around 10:30 am. As such, walking Little Foot was quite unpleasant indeed.

Here are the stats of the walk:

I have recently completed Wolfenstein on the PC, here is a short review of the game. The game length was quite short as there were around ten main story missions. There were a few side missions that I managed to complete entirely.

Fortunately, Wolfenstein felt like a solid PC game and was ran quite well on my powerful PC. Without further ado, here are some screenshots for viewing pleasure:

15. Destroying the huge artillery without the veil

*Please note that I use the usual keyboard and mouse combo for this game as intended to for a typical FPS game.

Pros:
1. Action pack, lotsa shootings, playing around with the veil and its power.
2. Great graphics, great sound effects and sound track.
3. Decent story (could have covered more with regards to the setting)
4. Easy to pick up
5. Some RPG elements like upgrading weapons and powers.

Cons:
1. Very short, it lasted me 2-3 casual playings
2. Some point of the game, graphics looks a bit dated

My verdict for this game is 7.5 out of 10. I definitely would recommend anybody who enjoys the first person shooters games to give this a try as it is quite enjoyable.
