Weekend Non Gym Session 27/09/2009

Weekend Non Gym Session 27/09/2009

I was pretty depressed during the weekend due to the fact that my 24inch Samsung LCD monitor (Samsung T240) was sent to its service centre for repairs. I am currently stuck with my old 19inch Samsung LCD monitor (non widescreen variant).

Fortunately, I can still enjoys some shows and movies on my old 19inch Samsung LCD monitor. After blowing off Little Foot for this walk in the morning, I decided to bring him for a walk in the evening.

Here are the stats for the walk:

Sunday, 27/09/2009, Light cardio session
25 mins walking Little Foot around the part for 4 times
* Resulted in 150 calories burned and about 2.4km walked(estimated)

I have been playing lotsa Street Fighter 4 lately on the PC, here is a short review of the game. Street Fighter 4 is a really fast paced fighting game. There are hardly any two-players fighting games on PC.

Fortunately, Street Fighter 4 was one of the best console ports I have encountered thus far. Without further ado, here are some screenshots for viewing pleasure:

1. Title screen shot

2. Versus screen shot

3. Character selection screen shot

Each character in Street Fighter 4 has their own ultra or super moves. This ultra or super moves can turn the tide of the battle easily as they deal heaps of damage and have an invulnerable start-up.

Here are some screenshots of several characters' ultra:

6. And finally, Zangief's Ultra which can cause a world of hurt to any character in the game.

*Please note that I use the Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 stick to play this game frequently. Previously I was using keyboard extensively. This game is definitely best played on an arcade stick as it intended to be.

Pros:
1. Fast-paced, takes very little time in between matches and almost zero loading time
2. Good graphics, great sound effects and sound track
3. Good multiplayer game online and at home
4. Plays well on lower end PCs

Cons:
1. Easy to pick up but extremely hard to master
2. Uses Game for Windows Live (sometimes a hit and a miss)

My verdict for this game is 9.5 out of 10. I definitely would recommend anybody who enjoys a decent fighting game but do not own a console to get this. Do support original, as playing against the AI for the long run is extremely boring.

Recently, I have bought Resident Evil 5 for the PC. Unfortunately, I have yet played it thru extensively as I would hope for. At the moment, I am concentrating in completing Grand Theft Auto 4 which I have completed 50% of the game according to the ingame stats and will be posting about this soon enough.

Here are the photos of the Resident Evil 5 for PC:

This game cost me RM139 and I bought it due to its ability to play cooperation with friends.
